Class Descriptions

Antental Pilates
Pilates is an excellent way to support your body through pregnancy and prepare for the birth.  These classes are limited to eight to ensure individual attention and are open to women who are 12 weeks pregnant or more.

Lunchtime Energiser
Beat the afternoon slump with our 45 minute energising lunchtime classes.  Filled with stretching, dynamic movement and core work these classes will really help you get the most from your lunch hour!

Beginners
The core of all our Pilates classes these are an ideal introduction to Pilates and its principles.  Suitable for those with varying injuries or medical conditions as well as those who are looking to try Pilates for the first time a beginners class is the ideal way to start working on your flexibility, posture and core-strength in a safe and precise way.

Intermediate
For those who want to be challenged a little more with some of the original ‘classical’ Pilates exercises as well as the modern evolved rep.  These classes are suitable for those who have had previous experience of Pilates or for those who are new to Pilates but reasonably physically fit and active.

Mixed Ability
These classes are suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some previous Pilates experience.  Focusing particularly on lower limb alignment, stretching and core stability they are also particularly suitable for anyone who is rehabing from a sports injury or wants to use Pilates as part of a cross training program.

Over 60s
These classes focus on co-ordination, flexibility and mobility to help keep the body moving whilst taking into account specific issues around this age group such as osteoporosis and arthritis.

Postnatal Pilates
These small classes are perfect for new mums looking to get back in shape after the birth in an effective, safe and enjoyable way. Focused on re-centering the body, improving posture and toning up the abdominals these classes are the ideal way to get a bit of time to yourself to re-connect with your body. Taught by a teacher who has undergone specialist postnatal Pilates training. Please contact us prior to coming to check that you are ready to start the classes - general guidelines are from 6 weeks post delivery but this can vary between individuals.
